Why will the new yahoo toolbar 8.3 not install?

How does one remove the Yahoo Toolbar? Trying to install F-Secure, an a/v pgm, and it won't install?

  • The install pgm halts with a pointer to the Yahoo Toolbar as the culprit. I have disabled the Toolbar, but cannot find any way to remove it completely. WINXP o/s - no Yahoo products listed in CntrlPanel-Add/Remove. No Start-Program-Yahoo listing.

    For Internet Explorer: Go to "Tool" at top of page Click on manage add-ons Choose the Yahoo Toolbar Choose Disable Click OK edit: That didn't get you what you wanted? try this Goto Tools (top of page) Manage Add-ons Select Yahoo toolbar Select Disable OK Then do the same thing for the Yahoo toolbar help.

Go to the control panel from your start menu, click on the add/remove programs and look for the yahoo tool bar, then click the remove button and you should Know the rest. I had to remove the AOL tool bar acouple of days ago.
