Why will my yahoo toolbar not stay locked?

Toolbar won't stay put?

  • Using Windows 7 Pro and IE8 I unlock the toolbars in IE8 and move yahoo toolbar behind or to the right of IE8's menu and lock IE8's toolbars. Close all window of IE8 and when I open a web page with IE8 the yahoo toobar move down to make another row. It doesn't stay where I locked it in place. How do I resolve the issue?

  • Answer:

Dude, something changed recently and the Yahoo toolbar must reside on a line by itself. I don't know if this was caused by a change in the Yahoo toolbar or the Internet Explorer browser. I know of no fix and it could take many full moons before we find out. So sorry. Since you lost one line of viewing real estate, you might consider upgrading to IE 9 which should buy back the line you lost. You need to be aware that IE 9, by design, hides most toolbars to maximize viewing area. There's the good, the bad and the ugly. To avoid the ugly take note of the three white icons near the upper right corner of the browser. Click the white star icon to view Favorites and History. Click the white gear icon to view stuff that was scattered among several of the hidden toolbars. If you want to unhide a toolbar right click an empty area around the top of the browser and click what you want. BTW, don't expect IE 9 to fix your issue. :-( However, IE 9 is faster on many webpages and has better security then IE 8. Good luck
