How do I find a friend Internet address?
-
How do I find old friends on the Internet? I'm trying to find a couple of old friends that I lost track of years ago and I was hoping some one can tell me how to do this. Since just about EVERYBODY uses the internet and is probably using Yahoo, Aol, Comcast or the others, I know there has to be an EASY and FREE way of finding their internet address!?! Just to let you know, I am not very "computer savy", so if you can suggest a way to locate them on line, would you please walk me through it if you can? I'm trying to find them to let them know of my Mom's passing away and would like to email them a copy of her obituary, so I really could use some help! ( If it helps, I am a Yahoo member) Please don't tell me to look in the phone book or ask information since I have already tried this but I'm not looking for their phone numbers, only their Internet Addresses. ADDITION-...I am very surprised to see that there was a "Best Answer" chosen for me!. Basically, I asked "HOW to find someone's Internet Address" and the best answer was..."It's even better if you know their email address"!!! I'm not trying to sound rude, but as you can see,the answer is my question! As I tried to explain, I am trying to find out HOW to find their internet address. if I already had it, I could find them easily :) Thanks again!

Try http://www.zabasearch.com/ - it's a pretty good search engine for the US. Note: YA is shared by all English speaking Yahoo countries represented by the little flags at the bottom of this page. If you are not living in the US, Zabasearch will not help you. If needed, add details to your question by using the pencil icon, I'll bookmark your question and check back on it later. About having a Best Answer chosen for you, sorry, but that can only happen when the answering period is over and you didn't choose a BA yourself. When an unresolved question goes to public voting, everybody can vote for it. Info about choosing a BA which you may not have yet: a button appears underneath your question 4 hrs after you posted it, use it for picking a best answer (if you already got one), the BA will get 10 points from YA. When choosing the BA you'll also be given the chance to add a comment and show your appreciaton by awarding stars. Always try to choose a best answer yourself, because it returns 3 of the points that you had to invest for posting that question.

What i always do when i want to find someone, is go through all the blog websites like MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Windows Live Spaces. I go to the seach panel, type in their name and see if a relevant result comes up. The person's email address is always linked to their MySpace/Facebook page, so that's how I obtain it. Anyway, not sure if it will work for you, because your contacts may or may not have Facebook, MySpace etc. But give it a go :)
