How do I delete items in my directory?

In windows vista i delete the recent items?

  • i delete windows vista recent items then i types one of the recent items in search on start menu and is still there in folder somewhere, the only thing is the icons are white and apparently when i try to delete item it says "could not find item". Why is there past recent item icons in the search menu even when i cleared all items in recent folder?

    it is still on your hard drive in your computer. you can never erase whats on your hard drive completely unless you buy a new one. my suggestion is to do system restore. if these programs are being like this then it is best just to have them. windows vista is new so it isn't perfected yet. there are a lot of problems with vista right now. good luck.

Vista is a really messed on OS it needs a ton of work for your problem i dont really know how to help you but try calling Microsoft for some help as she said if a system restore does not work call the company
