Hannah, Wordpress is the best platform overall and it is the one which I would recommend. The reason: It has by far the most add on options available such as free plug ins, themes and that sort of thing. It is also easy to use. Lastly, if people want to leave comments on your blog, it is really easy for them to do this when you have a Wordpress blog. With Blogger, it can be difficult to leave comments, especially if you want to include a backlink with the comment. This discourages people from commenting on your blog (and you want as many comments as possible).
