I Want To Know Why My Old Ad From Craigslist That Was Flagged Still Appears As A Search Result For My Website?

How long will this appear as a search result to my website and what can I do to make sure it doesn't appear again?

  How long it will appear as a result depends on the individual search engine's policies and methodology. What can you do to make sure it doesn't appear again? Not much. Once a search engine's robot/spider picks up a link, it's all pretty much automagic from there. You might email the specific search engine (contact information is generally provided in the footer of search pages) inform them of the circumstances, and request that the link be removed. That might expedite its disappearance. A good rule of thumb is to imagine that anything you publish to the Internet will never vanish. Someone (human or machine) probably made a copy which will exist, remote from its context, until some indeterminate date.
