How to create my own search engine?

How do i create a search engine within my own website that will only search and display the images/info in it?

• I have to build a website for a car dealership and they want a search engine that can search the cars within their website - displaying their cars only and not bringing up a bunch of links on the web. i've been looking around but i cant seem find a script that suits what i need. any suggestions?

  I think you can start building the website using WordPress as the platform and instead of putting Google search box, you can use the WordPress own search box plugin to limit the search within the site. I use that on several of my sites and all of them use WordPress. I don't know whether Joomla or Drupal-based site can do that too.
