Why do I have incomplete results with Yahoo mail search?

Why my Yahoo Mail search results will only yield emails from within the last month?

Any one experienced the same problem recently? It performed search correctly before but had this problem for a while. I could no longer find the old mails. This really drives me nuts and I am considering leaving for Gmail if this problem keep on happening.

Yes, it started for me about a week ago. if you search here for "yahoo mail search" then you'll find others asking similar questions going back sporadically for several months. There don't seem to be any answers from Yahoo, or consensus about how to solve the problem. I think we should all bombard yahoo help until they get the search (which used to be excellent) up and running again... It may be worth trying to configure Thunderbird (free outlook alternative) to run Yahoo Mail if it can, then you'll have a local store of messages.
