How to delete the previously visited sites on the search bar?

How do you delete everything from web search bar.i.e,all past sites etc visited. just want to start afresh.?

  • have tried sevral suggestions that have been listed but these sites or part words still keep coming up?does this make sense?

  • Answer:

You need to clear or disable Auto Complete. This saves all previous searches in your search bar. Here's how to fix the problem: For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom

You should be able to just click on tools at top of screen, then click browser options on the drop down list, should have the option on there to clear URL's and clear search strings, make sore you click OK and not just X off the box. That should totally remove them all.
