What makes one search engine better than another?

How do i use a different search engine that the one that it keeps getting switched to every time I search?

  • No matter which search engine I try to search from, whenever I hit enter it switches it to Wsearch-analytic, which has got to be the lamest search engine I've ever encountered. I can't figure out which setting I need to change or what the heck someone did to this computer before I got it, I can't get it to change and it's driving me nuts. I'm currently running internet explorer on a computer that is using Windows Vista, but when I run Mozilla it does the same thing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Answer:

Sounds like your computer has picked up a "search hijacking virus". There are many ways to deal with it, but can't guarantee a proper solution up front. You could try using AVG (it's free) http://avg.com/ This is a CC Cleaner (link from CNET with a review about it) and it may work: http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/ There are other links on that page as well.
