How to clear the search bar history?

How do I disable or clear the history of previously typed-in words or topics from a search bar?

  • For example, I type the word "da Vinci" in the Yahoo! Search, what happens is that my previous searches starting with the letter "d" show up on a drop-down bar. How do I clear and disable this function of remembering previous searches?

To disable the search history in the Yahoo! search: click on the little pencil next to the search box select "toolbar option" uncheck the box for "enable search history" click "ok" To clear currrent searches in the Yahoo! search box: click on the little pencil next to the seach box select " clear search history"
