Ebay seller will not respond to my emails, how do I change the payment option or cancel a transaction.?
-
I recently ordered a power cable for a play station 2 off ebay from someone, they've sold thousands of things like this and have a 99 percent approval rating, it was my first time using ebay and I made a mistake by putting credit card when I meant debit or pay pal, I've emailed him asking to either cancel the transaction all together or to allow me to change the payment option, they haven't responded and now I'm getting frustrated/worried. I originally emailed him asking him if he could cancel it, he didn't respond, I then said I'd pay for it and that I just need to change it to pay pal or debit, whichever they preferred, and I don't think they are going to respond to that either What should I do?

Answer:
Your mother should go on Medicare if she is over 65. They pay a portion of the stairlift but she has to also buy supplemental insurance which covers the rest. If they are low income and over 65 they should get on Medicaid. With MS. your mother could qualify for SSDI and get on Medicare within 24 months. If they are too high income for Medicaid and too young for Medicare, the only way is getting SSDI and within 2 years she can get on Medicare but in the next two years you can pay off a stairlift in installments or charge most of it on credit cards. You might also contact whatever MS associations there are for financial help or referral to a different stairlift other than Acorn. There is more than one company who makes those.

First, if you just bought the item today I would wait one or two days for that person to respond. You know, maybe that person just has a lot of stuff in their inbox they have to check. Second, if you really want to cancel you can... simply not pay at all. Ebay will ding you for this if you do this too many times though. Words straight from ebay customer support: "To cancel a transaction, we recommend that you contact your seller and explain your situation. If the seller doesn't agree to cancel the transaction, you'll need to honor your purchase and pay for the item. If you don't pay for the item, the seller can open an unpaid item case. Buyers who have too many unpaid items may have their accounts limited or suspended. You can learn more about our unpaid item policy."
