How can you delete the history on you address bar?

How do I delete history on my address bar?

  • I have tried several times to delete the history on my Internet Explorer's address bar. I used Internet Options delete "All". Does not delete history. I tried "Delete Browsing History" and Control, Shift, Delete. Nothing seems to work. Does any one have a suggestion? Thank you

  • Answer:

Your browsing History will continue to show up under the address bar as a part of the IE8's AutoComplete feature. However, you can keep your History from being stored in AutoComplete by clicking Tools --> Internet Options --> Content Tab (from the tabs across the top) --> and Settings for AutoComplete. There you can manage what shows up in your address bar. To make sure that your History is excluded, just make sure that the box next to History is not selected. I hope this helps! Depending on the browser I think you should Go to Tools>Internet Options>Delete history and check all the boxes for cookies and such. If its firefox then do the same thing, but there should be a dropdown icon when you go to delete history.

on the internet screen on the top click Tools, then Delete Browsing History, and then it will have many choices and I usually check all of them. and it will all be gone. :) Hope this helps!

click on the little arrow that is pointing down at the end of the address bar and then highlight the first address and the hold down delete till they are all gone.

Use safari or Google chromes private browsing feature.
