How do you get rid of search history?

How do I get rid of search items in yahoos search window? deleting browsing history doesnt work?

  • I want to clear out the places I been, but the search window items can't be deleted. you can delete browsing history for internet explorer until you turn blue but it doesnt help

    That is part of the autocomplete feature that can be turned off in options. In IE go to internet options/ content/ autocomplete/ settings/ forms. In Firefox go to options/ privacy/ history/ remember what I enter in forms and the search bar. You can also delete the entries by double clicking on an empty box, drop down to the first item, and then press delete for each entry. ɦəlʞɹɐq

Actually, they can, if you are using something like ie 6, when you click on the scroll arrow, on the right side of where you put the searches in, the last option should be clear search history.
