Answer:
This works if you have Internet Explorer as your browser. The record of search history which appears in the search box on Yahoo and Google pages is actually a feature controlled by your browser. * At the top of your screen click Tools, Internet Options, Content tab, under Personal information, click the AutoComplete box, on the AutoComplete Settings window click the Clear Forms box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the Forms box to permanently stop the generation of the search history, click OK. Another option that works with any browser: * Here is another way if you just want to clear the searches (and don't want to stop the generation of the search history) from the search box menu on Yahoo or Google pages, double click the search box, this will make a menu drop down with your searches, put your cursor on what you want to delete to highlight it, and hit the delete button on your keyboard. If you want to delete everything just hold the delete button down until everything is deleted. * To clear searches on Yahoo Toolbar, click the pencil icon beside the search box, click Clear Recent Searches. If you want to stop saving recent searches, click Toolbar Options and uncheck "Enable Search History", or check "Auto-clear Search History when quitting IE" to clear history when you close your Internet connection. * To clear searches on Google toolbar, click "Google" on the left of the search box, click Clear Search History. To stop saving searches click options, click search tab and check or uncheck to configure your search box. * To clear history of sites you have visited on Internet Explorer 6 address bar, click Tools, Internet Options, under General tab click Clear History, you can also set the number of days to keep pages in history, click Apply and then click OK. You may also want to click the Content tab and click Auto Complete and check or uncheck your Auto Complete settings to your preference. * To clear history of sites you have visited on Internet Explorer 7, go to Tools, Internet Options, General tab, under Browsing history you have the option to delete everything all at once with just one click, click Delete, a menu will pop up, click Delete all to clear everything, or choose what you want to delete, to stop saving history, under Browsing history click Settings and under History set Days to keep pages in history to 0, click OK.

In your IE browser or whatever one you're using, click history..it will pull up every place you've been. right click each item or I believe for that entire day, you can either collapse it, or delete it. Click delete. This will erase your history. Or..you can go to Internet options and set your days to keep in history to however many you want or set it to clear each time your browser is closed.

If you are talking about the yahoo toolbar: click the pencil and go to clear search history! TO Delete recent searches from popping up in the drop down menu on a search page. Go to the search site site, click where you would type then push the down arrow on your keyboard. As you move your pointer over a word it is highlighted, Highlight the word in the list then hold down the delete key on your keyboard. To turn this feature off in yahoo tool bar: Click the pencil icon go to toolbar options/ under Search box uncheck the first 2. To turn this feature off Open an IE page go to tools at the top/ Internet options click the content tab/ then click the auto complete button/ uncheck every thing there Be sure to come back and vote for the best answer!

on the yahoo search bar, you just click in the bar, wait a few seconds until the history comes up, then scroll down until the one you want gone is highlighted. simply click "delete" button and it's gone.

if you get traffic to your site, search engines will index your webiste, and also it will take your keywords and give importance to your keyword. so traffic is the most important thing in internet, there are two things: 1) one is traffic 1) second is quality traffic am talking about a website which has a 500 arround alexa traffic rank, and about 6/10 google's page rank. get a free back link from this site, get a lot of free traffic, in this site you get free credits, and with that you get free traffic. everything is free, http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?53747... just get some easy traffic, also first 50 credits will activate you account, and then you will get your 100 free credits, then on you get free credits, with that you get free traffic. Source(s): get a disclaimer, privacy policy, terms and conditions, site maps, etc, these helps rankings, also http://www.harmu.com for paid quality traffic, advertise on time basis, not on cost of clicks,

How do I delete the drop-down list of my past searches? You can clear your Google search history from the Google search box, the Google Toolbar, or your browser. We've included instructions for all three methods below. CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE SEARCH BOX HISTORY The search history that displays in the search box on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. Instructions appear below for disabling this search history in common browsers. If your browser isn't listed, we suggest consulting its online support center. Microsoft Internet Explorer 1. Go to the "Tools" menu. 2. Select "Internet Options" and the "Content" tab. 3. Within the "Personal information" area, select "AutoComplete." 4. Click on "Clear Forms." You can also un-check the "Forms" box in this window to keep this information from being stored in the future. 5. Click "OK" to exit. Alternatively, you can delete individual entries from your search history by using the Down arrow key to highlight a previous search, then pressing the Delete key once. MSN If you're using the Microsoft Network (MSN), changes made in Internet Explorer (IE) will take effect in your MSN browser. After making changes in IE, you'll need to sign out of and back into MSN for the changes to take effect. Mozilla Firefox 1. Go to the "Tools" menu. 2. Select "Options" > "Privacy" > "Saved Form Information." 3. Click "Clear" and un-check the box. 4. Click "OK" to exit. Safari 1. Go to the "Safari" menu and select "Preferences." 2. From the menus that pop up, select "Autofill." 3. Go to "Other forms" line and select the "Edit" button. 4. From the list of sites for which AutoFill is currently being applied, select "Google.com" > "Remove" > "Done." CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE TOOLBAR HISTORY To clear your search history from the drop-down text box on the Google Toolbar: 1. Click on the Google logo on the Toolbar to access the drop-down menu. 2. Select the "Clear Search History" option. If you'd like to completely disable your Toolbar's search history, please click the "Options" button on your Toolbar and un-check the box next to "Drop-down search history." If you have Google Toolbar 4.0 installed, you can clear your Toolbar's search history by starting to enter a search term in your Toolbar's search box. When your drop-down search history appears, simply click the "Clear History" link. Please note that this only clears the search history from the Google Toolbar, which is entirely separate from the search history stored by your browser. If you've followed these steps and information still appears in your Toolbar search box as you type, please visit http://www.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=45847 for additional assistance. CLEARING YOUR BROWSER HISTORY Like your Google search box history, the search history that displays in the address bar on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. Instructions appear below for clearing and/or disabling your search history in common browsers. If your browser isn't listed, we suggest consulting its online support center. Microsoft Internet Explorer 1. Go to the "Tools" menu. 2. Select "Internet Options" and the "General" tab. 3. Click the "Clear History" button. To completely disable the history function, set "Days to keep pages in history" to zero ("0"). 4. Click "OK" to exit. 2. Select "Options" > "Privacy" > "History." 3. Click on "Clear." To completely disable the history function, set "Remember visited pages for the last X days" to zero ("0"). 4. Click "OK" to exit. Safari 1. Click "History" on the top menu. 2. Click "Clear History" at the bottom of the menu.
