I Lost my birth certificate I need to obtain a Birth Certificate in India?

I Lost my birth certificate I need to obtain a new one for the visa purpose. Can I obtain that from municipal corporation in Saharanpur, UP , India. If I can what are the documents they will require. I need them for the Immigration purpose

hi binnu, as you have lost your birth certificate first of all you have to make a affidavit and notary it . and if have 10th mark sheet than their is your age in it. with both of these document you go to municipal corporation of saharanpur with a Application to make your birth certificate.

As per my experience there no need of any document. You need detail date time & palce of birth. If it is in hospital then no problem.Just somewht fees you have to pay it may be 20/certificate copy First u just contact to municiple office & aks them for require document.
