HDFC Bank Ltd, is the costliest, but the Best. Much better than ICICI Bank Ltd. Doubtlessly, Punjab National bank has 3850 branches compared to more than 10,000 branches of State Bank of India. However, when you compare service, you find PNB much better than any other PSU Bank. Even BOB (i.e. Bank of Baroda) is better than SBI for NRI. Indian Residents Residing in India, specially Pensioners should bank with SBI, because of "Anywhere Banking" and SBI branches through out India.

Bothe are Good. But the main thing is how good you are. How fast you make fraindship with the bank employees. It is all on you. One bank is very good for me but for my fraind the same bank is not so good. Well SBI has more Branches than PNB but I find PNB is mor esy to talk and have interaction with them than SBI. I have dealings with bothe Banks and have account in bothe. But NB is nearer to my home so use it more.

Punjab National bank has 3850 branches compared to more than 10,000 branches of State Bank of India. So, if you are interested in "Anywhere Banking" you may opt for SBI. AJM
