Is checking the status of a job application worth it?

• ndian navy job application status..? guys i hve been sending application to various job position in indian navy [http://www.nausena- bharti.nic.in/] but i never get any reply from them they say the selected candidates will be called for interview it means im not short listed for the interview..? i got 71% in B.Tech[IT] whether my percentage is too low to be short listed..? or heavy competition all over india ? i nver get any call from them ...whether i need to check the site frequently to knw abt the result ?but in the application they said they call the short listed candidate.... plse any body help me regarding this.?

  don worry .. call will come to ur house in the form of a speed post... but for ur safety always check the nausena bharti website , u can even call the HQ ,whose phone num is in the same website to get clarified ... don not ever worry about the shortlisted candidates and things like that .. mostly who all are applied will be called , remember the three forces are in shortage of 11000 engineers in all right now, if u have 60 % it is more than enough . req more info ask in foll group in FB http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_167685316615614&ap=1 best of luck. i gona join NAVY soon...
