How To Apply For TNEB?

I run a office in chennai. Based on my increased EB consumption i had TENB Additional Current Consumption?

  • I run a office in chennai as a tenant in a building. Based on my increased EB consumption i had paid TENB Additional Current Consumption Deposit Rs 15,000 and 25,000 in the last 5 years. Now i plan to vacate the building , can i get back my Deposit from TNEB or Owner of the building. The owner says that he can't pay the deposit , since you have consumed more power for your need than generally others used and there is no need for him to use the same power consumption for the coming tenant as his requirement is very low. owner says that he can sign all letter correspondence help with Tneb for getting back the deposit if possible. What can i do legally. The owner has not mentioned about the Deposit in rent lease.

  • Answer:

Contact TNEB. Logically speaking as nothing is mentioned in lease you have to be in mercy of TNEB

Other answers

You must contact a lawyer regarding this issue. The Point of View of Owner is correct because he is not responsible for the increased consumption, at the same time don't think about getting refund from TNEB; no way you can get it back.
