Do peoples in Paris, France play sports?

Attending University in Europe?

• My girlfriend and I want to attend an American school in Europe, preferably in France or Spain. It needs to be a school that can get funding from FAFSA, like American University of Paris, and needs to be taught in English. I don't care particularly about the majors they offer, if any University fits the above criteria then it should be fine. Also, on a note about sports, I planned on playing soccer in college if I went to school in America, but to my knowledge, schools in other countries don't tie schools with their sports programs, and have them in clubs. We do this here also, as I play for a premier club, but how do soccer programs work in European universities? Is it club based at that age and level? Do players get picked from these clubs for professional teams? This sport is a huge part of my life, so it is an important matter for me. But mostly, I need to find some American schools in these countries to try to attend. If anyone had any suggestions, I'm open to ideas. Thanks!

  It does not quite work the same way with sports in the UK, so you have at least two main options. You can go through a premier league club and see if they offer a program that you can train with them while you are studying (it would be worth contacting all 20 clubs plus all 24 championship clubs to see what they have available). Or, you can go through a university that has entered a team in one of the leagues in the UK football pyramid and plays games like regular teams do. For a start, google Northumbria University (in England), London Metropolitan University, University of Stirling (in Scotland).
