What are some effective and fast ways to study?

Your best bet is to read, read, read and read. Take the practice quizzes at the end of the sections and check your answers, that always helps. If you're in an AP class I would suggest buying one of the Barron's or Princeton Review books that people usually use to study for the AP test. The material is condensed down into key concepts, no fluffy stuff like the textbooks. But the best thing that you can do is read the information so you can say that you've gone over it and seen the info.
