Why study political science?

How to study political science / economics?

  • So, I'm looking to expand my knowledge and study political science and economics. School isn't an option right now, other wise why would I have asked this question? So, I'd like to know of some sources to maybe up my knowledge and understanding a little bit. Be it books, movies, websites, anything of the sort. And no don't give me any conspiracy theory movies, I'm not into those. Just anything that explains and gives information on politics, economics, and things like that.

  • Answer:

I suggest you begin by reading a comprehensive text focusing on international politics-- http://www.bedfordstmartins.com/Catalog/static/bsm/russett/ Then you should go through Robert Gilpin's "Global Political Economy." Another good book for you to read is Graham Allison's "Essence of Decision."
