What about students finance in the UK?

UK student applying for scholarship in the USA?

  • Hi I've just got a 2:2 in my BA degree in the UK and hope to study for a masters in either the USA or Canada, however I realise that tuition fees and the financial aid for students is very different to the UK meaning that I'm likely to need to go on either a scholarship or with substancial financial assistance. If anyone can advise me if a 2:2 is a good enough grade for a scholarship and if not then what are my options? Finally would you suggest getting a scholarship / finance sorted before applying, or how does the system work ? Thanks X x

there is very little in the way of scholarships or financial aid for international students. You are going to have to prove you can pay for college in order to get a student visa. check out the web site of any US college for info. go to admissions/international student. Email the school with any questions
