Need help on foreign exchange programs.

Does anyone know any good foreign exchange programs for HS?

• i'm from canada, and i'm going into my 11th year now, and am really interested in foreign exchange programs. it doesn't matter whether it will happen in my 11th or 12th year, but i am taking an international baccalaureate program, so that's a problem. does anyone know of any good exchange programs? also, i'm plannning on somewhere in europe, though i've little knowledge in the respective languages. should i be fluent in the language of the country i want to go to to be able to participate in the program? i really need as much help as i can get, thanks.

  Check out this site called "High School Programs Abroad": http://www.highschoolprogramsabroad.com/search.cfm There are tons of programs listed on there, just check them out and get a feel for where you will want to go and what you will want to do. Most of them have instruction in English although you'll probably be taking a course in the language of the country where you're staying. This is a great opportunity for you to become proficient in a foreign language, without having to be fluent before you go. Good luck! You are going to have a great experience studying abroad!
