  • I can only finish Alg II/Trigo and Chemistry in high school. Can I still take computer engineering course in college? Ignore this if you don't know: I am going to finish high school in America but I want to go to the Philippines for college. Am I eligible to take the computer engineering course with the math and science that I can finish?

  • Answer:

You are going to be competing for admission with students who have progressed past Intermediate Algebra & Chem to Advanced Algebra, Calculus, Physics, etc. Many candidates have taken honors or Advanced Placement math & science courses. And most of your competition not only has more credits in maths & sciences, but they are mostly straight-A students in these courses. If you manage to get accepted anyway, you will be behind your classmates in all the engineering and computer classes from the very beginning of classes your freshman year. Can you manage to catch up?

Other answers

You can take computer engineering courses in college. It might take a little longer to complete your degree but you can complete it. Not really something you have to worry about :-). Just if you have the willpower to complete it.
