How to apply to a Korean university?

I am a US citizen, how to apply to a State's university?

  • I am American citizen abroad, now studying in the local university in Taiwan. And I would like to apply to graduate school in US after I get my degree. Recently, I got some information from my professor about the special access for US citizen to getting into the State-owning University which will probably cost far less. How and what am I supposed to do to be qualified for the uni ? Thx a lot~

  • Answer:

State universities can be lower cost, however, they usually require a minimum residency from an applicant before being considered an "in-state" university. This applies to any US citizen. It is best that you first make a list of universities that offer the masters you are interested in and then contact the universities directly and ask them about residency requirements to be considered an 'in-state' student. Hope this helps.

The key is to establish residence status in the U.S. state you intend to do your graduate studies. You can google for criteria to establish residence for tuition purposes. Below is a link for CA UCSD.
