Medical law degree?

Can get into Law or Medical school with an Associate's degree?

  • Can I get into Medical school or Law school with a two year business assoicate's degree or do I need a four degree? I live in Arkansas my GPA is 3.5...ACT is 17

  • Answer:

As the other poster explained, you need a bachelor's degree to get into medical school or law school. Your ACT score doesn't matter. That's a test you take for college admissions. For medical school and law school, you will have to take a different test. Law school does not require that you take certain undergraduate courses. You can major in anything you want. Medical school, on the other hand, does require you to take certain classes.

To get into any post-graduate program (law, medicine, dentistry, etc) you MUST have completed a bachelor's degree and have taken the respective entrance exam for that particular professional school (ie- MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, etc) To get into any post-graduate school you must do well in your undergraduate coursework. Do not expect to be admitted to any legitimate school w a 3.0 or lower. For some areas of study you must take certain coursework that prepares you for your post-graduate studies. Medicine, for example, requires you to take a certain amount of sciences and math to be admitted into a program.

You will need to get your bachelors degree for law school and medical school. For medical school you will need to take the required courses which are primarily science courses and math then about a year before graduating take the MCAT. Law school will accept any major but you will need to do well on the LSAT.
