How do I go about college transferring?

How would i go about transferring from Miami Dade College and eventually study Astronomy at UF?

  • Ok first off i'm 17 years old. I'm from Miami Florida. and i have dreams of studying the universe, stars, planets, nebula, etc. I have graduated high school with my high school diploma. But i regret to say i'm not that good at math and i'm okay when it comes to my education with science. But for as long as i can remember I've wanted to be some sort or important person when i comes to exploring the stars and explaining the universe. But when it comes to getting started I'm EXTREMELY lost in all of this. I've searched for the past few hours on how i would go about eventually becoming an astronomer and finding careers in that field later on in life. I'm just so overwhelmed on how it is i'd get started on my path to a career involving space and what not. Now from what i see Miami Dade College doesn't offer majors in astronomy... So my question is "Then what do i study there?" and how will i eventually take what i have learned there and transfer to a better school like UF that offer more options in Astronomy? I just really need a little information on how to get started. Thank you.
