Is the study abroad UK a good foreign exchange program?

Does anyone know a good exchange student program???

  • I am in highschool and I would like to live in London for 6 months as an exchange student. Does anyone know a program where you can pick the city you stay in??? And what type of people would I be staying with??? I've heard of a program called "Study Abroad UK" ...has anyone heard of it???

    I don't know what country you are from, but let's say the US for argument. The first thing to do is look at www.csiet.org That will have the current list of certified exchange programs. Then pick the ones that have an exchange to England (Study Abroad UK is not there, but it may be for college students.) After that, go to the website of the Committee for the Safety of Foreign Exchange students. http://www.csfes.org/ Use that to cross check the organizations you've found. As someone who has been hosting/volunteering for 11 years, I suggest that you take a full year program. You get much more out of them and it's easier to work with your home school. BTW Most programs allow you to pick the country, but not the city.

There is a program called IES and there is another one called CIEE where you can choose your program and where you study abroad. Im in college and this August I will be leaving to go study abroad in the Dominican Republic through CIEE. You can do a yahoo search and find out information about the different programs from their websites and the people are real friendly and helpful.

I'm looking into staying over in Australia. You might want to check out Study Abroad UK, as you mentioned. Most exchange student sites have FAQs. The ones I've checked include the questions you have. If you can't find your answers online, they're bound to have a phone number you can call. I went on one today and did an instant chat with a person that works there.

Yes, there is a lot of student program offered if you only search in the Internet, advertisement , thru your friend, and you can stay with the people whom you know ,the people which can assist you in your needs and people which you can trust
