What do I have to do to get into medical school in England?

Can you go to medical school in England, if you get your undergrad in the U.S?

  • I absolutely love the UK in particularly England, but I'm not sure if what I'm asking is possible. I'd like to live in England and maybe become a physician there. Can you go to school for your undergrad in the U.S. and go to medical school in England? Is it a challenging process?

  • Answer:

It's very unlikely because medicine in the UK is an undergraduate course. There are only a tiny number of places available for people to study medicine as postgraduates the way you do in the US. Yes, it's challenging. Are you the best student in your school bar none? If not, you probably won't get onto a medicine course in the UK.
