Answer:
What's a QVS? I've not heard of it before. Midwifery is a 3 year degree course at university. You do not need to already have a nursing qualification to do it. You need at least 5 GCSE passes at grades A*-C, including English, maths and a science. You also need A Levels or equivalents. You generally need 3 A Levels at grades between A* and C, and including a science, preferably biology. Equivalents to A Levels are generally a BTEC in Health and Social Care (some universities do not accept this though) or an Access to Nursing/Midwifery course, which you do for a year at college. It sounds like your best option would be an Access course. I suggest looking at entry requirements on the UCAS site though, and speaking to individual universities about what they would accept. I also strongly recommend visiting the student midwife site www.studentmidwife.net

You need to search or unis offering degrees in Midwifery to view their entry requirements. http://www.whatuni.com/degrees/home.html I've never heard of a specific course to get into midwifery A nursing qualification is not a requirement to study midwifery.
