Can I be eligible for abroad jobs?

How do I study abroad for my MBA at (University of Western Sydney) US and what Jobs can I work? (BSME)?

  • Okay. So I have read up on the costs of studying abroad and it seems to be a great way to save a lot of money on a graduate degree, as well as learn some international business experience while immersing myself in a different culture. I am currently a student at the University of North Carolina Charlotte completing a 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering in approximately 2 years or so, and plan on obtaining an MBA at UWS (University of Western Sydney) after I have completed my degree here. I also realize there are many of tests and regulations that are required, such as the TOEFL and IELTS, as well as having to study the GMAT (it is an MBA after all) I am fluent in English already, while also delving into the studies of French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese languages. I heard this will improve my chances of acceptance into the area. I was curious as to which visa I should/can apply for if I intend to look for a job while I study there, Hopefully in Mechanical Engineering or a translator if I can't find that. I am not sure what regulations they have and would incorporate while you are a student in that area, and if we are allowed to work. I am hoping to study part time for the MBA during night hours while working so that I don't just run completely out of money, and hopefully obtain work experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a local company or branch. I am assuming that western Sydney has a lot of job offers in this occupation of course, which I am not very certain of. If there are any Aussies in this area and have knowledge on this topic, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again in advance, I know it is quite a long and complicated question. Anyone? Help =(

  • Answer:

This is not a complicated question. You are simply asking which visa you need to apply for and the answer is simple, unless you qualify for an employment visa, then you must apply for a student visa. A student visa comes with conditions and unfortunately for you, they will not let you do what you want to do. The conditions are as follows: you must study full-time, part-time is not permitted. You are only permitted to work 20 hours per week while school is in session and full-time during official holiday periods. As a U.S. citizen the TOEFL or IELTS is not required. The GMAT and any other requirements set forth by UWS you will need to meet, check their international student admission page for more information.
