What is it like to live in Stuttgart, Germany?

Visiting Germany next Summer?

• Hello everybody. My high school is offering a foreign exchange program with students from Stuttgart next May. I have never been to Germany before...and don't know what to expect. Are there any customs that I should be aware of ? What is it like to live in Stuttgart? Is the weather nice? Are the people friendly to Americans? Thank You

  You're going to Stuttgart!? OH! It was wonderful there! I just got done living in Germany for 6 years. They have an Army base there. But young Germans really love Americans. And you'll be by a base, so most people will know English and like Americans. One of the main things in Germany is that everything's closed on Sundays. EVERYTHING. And you have to be quiet on that day. There's only certain times you can mow your lawn, play music and stuff on that day. Also, you always say Hi when your passing a person on the sidewalk. It's the German way;D The weather isn't too nice, but that's Southern Germany for you;P There's a lot of rain, but when you get sunshine, it's a treat;P Germany isn't like what most people think. Full of Natzi's, horse and buggy, old timey stuff. It's very modern and everyone's really nice. Bakery goods? AMAZING. Better than France in my opinion :) But you'll love it and you'll never want to leave!
