How to start preparing for competitive exams?

Wen shud i start preparing for GRE n TOEFL exams 2 do ms in us??

    Sooner the batter, on your own, in your spare time. But focuss on the study at hand, for now. GRE scores are very important in getting admitted and or scholarship and assistance ships. so you need to get the most recent books, and study them just before the exam in detail but by starting now, you can get a good head start on the study. There may be classes conducted in India in the big cities that give you an added edge. I am not sure about TOEFL, but I know that it tests you for the knowledge of English language, so it is a general examination and I am sure they have classes in India given in all big cities. ********** Tip: Today young people are use to writing in text massage format. I am not sure if you are using it here or you are just writing every thing phonetically, with disregards for the spelling . It is very important for the people like you to loose this text massaging text habit and start writing in conventional English language with proper spellings, grammar and punctuations. Since this is your first yr in college u dont need to worry about MS right now... just concentrate on gettin good scores .... engineering students usually give their gre exams in the 3rd year of their course...especially after their 6th sem...so u can start abt 4-5 months before that..the gre score is valid for 5 years.
