Difference between AFS and Rotary student exchange?

  • I know Rotary is a lot cheaper. But is AFS better and worth the extra money?

    The biggest difference that I've seen is that Rotary students stay with three different host families over the year and AFS students stay with one. As a 12 time host (and one time arrival host) I much prefer the latter. I think Rotary kids may have additional meetings to attend as well. It is also more competitive in selection.
