I want to become a foregin exhange student for a year, but i have no idea where to start. I live in California and i want to go to Japan. Here are my questions: 1. How much does it cost? 2. Is it difficult to become an exchange student? 3. What are the scholarships about? 4. What are the host families like? 5. What about school? Do I pick the school or does the program? 6. What is the best and most affordable program? 7. What do they teach in the schools? 8. What do I need to know about Japan?

Ask these question to your Councilor. They have the answers. But the first thing you need is excellent grades. Not just good grades but excellent grades. 3.8 GPA or above.
