Answer:
The best time to study a broad anywhere is during the hottest part of the year and on the beach. They tend to wear more bikinis and revealing attire at that time.

i guess ur a yank by saying fall, im from Australia, Adelaide. Uni starts late Feb for all cities(end of summer), and that applies for all universities, school starts late january, but im assuming your studying for university, there a festivals all of the time but slightly more going out and parties when its spring, I would say, University of Sydney is 31st best in the world and 2nd best in Australia, its near the coast, Melbourne University is close behind in terms of rankings, but its not near the beach, but the city has a **** load to do...Adelaide is near the coast, has some good beaches University of Adelaide is still a prestigious University, not as big with the parties (still big, just not as big) and is one of the most affordable cities in the world...hope this helps

Forget Sydney, come to WA!!! Nah, anywhere in Oz will be a great experience. Depends what kind of temperatures you're comfortable with. Summer will seem absolutely boiling to you, i dont know what Sydney is like, but here it hits 40 degrees very often. Autumn (yanks call it fall), is often rainy, but sometimes quite nice weather. Winter, cold cold cold for us, but for an American probably not so bad! However, i'd choose the spring. Probably still quite hot for you, but face it, it's Australia! But yes, Spring in Australia is beautiful. But honestly, i would recommend you go to somewhere regional, you see the real Australia, without being totally cut off. City people are the same the world over.

I have had a lot to do with overseas students studying here in Melbourne but I would suggest that you contact Monash University as they have good on campus accommodation but if you really want a good institue on the look SWTAFE Warrnambool institute. It is a regional city with a great community spirit.

Well it really depends what you like. Queensland is beautiful in the fall and there is heaps to do. I live in western australia and the weather in the fall can vary from nice sunny days to really rainy days but overall its a great place.
