To study in UK or US for tertiary studies?
-
I am now in dilemma that I don't know where I should further my studies after A-level Can someone explain to me the pros and cons of studying in UK and US ? I intend to take degree in Acc and Finance so which country will be an ideal choice for future careeer prospect ? I'm an international student , btw . I heard that 68% of the students of LSE are international students . So does this give me a higher chance to be accepted by LSE than other US universities ? and which country is more friendly to international students ? Also , application to US universities is very complicating compared with UK universities , which are much easier . I need to take SAT and SAT II as well as TOEFL if I intend to go to US but I am only required to take IELTS if my choices are UK unis . US unis often look for more well-rounded students and UK unis basically only based on academic achievement . I'm afraid that I stand a very low chance in getting into US unis as my cocurricular activities aren't that outstanding compared with other olympic medalist . I have only joined national competition once and state level competition once and district level few . In terms of study environment , which country has lesser distractions and crimes ? :X I have neither been to UK nor US so I don't really understand the culture and environment there . Can anyone experienced explain this to me ? Thanks in advance :)

Answer:
68% of LSE students are not international students. You need to narrow it down by towns or states not countries. Do you have any idea exactly how big they are? The country does not matter as much as the reputation and ranking of the university that you attend.

In terms of cost, UK takes the cake as the country is offering 30% discount in school fees. Also the British pound is on the slide therefore, giving an edge over competitors like the US. For superb infrastructures, lesser distractions, zero crime rate etc, Singapore is the perfect study abroad destination.
