Semester study abroad program?

Study Abroad/Gap Semester Program that Parents will Approve?? (+ Investment Banking Experience?)?

• I am looking for a program that would allow me to go to the Middle East (specifically the Gulf - I would like to find some job shadowing/internship opportunities in investment banking) for a semester and become fluent in Arabic. My parents are not keen on the idea of me just taking next semester off to travel and explore the culture and language on my own because they fear I will not return to school, so I need something that is legit and offers school credit? The issue is I don't want to be pay college tuition (many of the programs I have looked at with my college counselor required this) when I really don't want to be taking college classes for credit while abroad. If not a program, then just some tips on what to do/say to convince my parents I am not planning to ditch school forever and this is just temporary and will be a beneficial to keep things fresh and interesting while studying a language that will be necessary in my career field - which I do need to return to school for! But they don't understand still... Thanks in advanced.:)
