How and when can i apply to American universities?

How can I know very famous American,Canadian and Australiancolleges and universities?

  • I`m 30 years old.I live in Tehran capital of Iran and I want to study in U.S,Canada or Australia. I studied journalism but I want to study art. What should I do tobe accepted by one of the colleges? can I have English course before my start?

    G'day, The best website for find out what can you study in Australia is by visiting IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). It has an extensive database information of all uni in Australia, most Diploma colleges and most high schools. IDP is an organisation that gives info to overseas students who want to continue their study in Australia. There are only 39 universities in Australia, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content. Journalism is also part of the faculty of arts in most Australian Universities. Therefore you will need to find out what sort of 'Arts' that you are interested to study in. You'll be surprised at what's offered as Art majors in the Australian universities (eg. Media Studies, Public Relations, Psychology etc). What you need to do is to fill in the application form and send them together with certified copy of all your academic transcripts (in original language and English). The process will take abt 2-3 weeks, depending on the time of the year. You may also want to take an IELTS test while waiting for the assessment. The IELTS test will be needed for your academic application as well as student visa application. Of course if your English is not up to the required academic standard, you may study English first before starting your academic study. make sure u have a TOEFL cert. or IELTS.. u r required to study a foundation year before u go to degree. if not, u can choose diploma before ur degree.
