Congratulations on your chance to come to Japan! I don't know what level you are, so I can just tell you about junior high schools. If you have any questions that you have about high schools, just send me a message because my husband teaches at the local high school, and I can ask him. At the school what do they expect of you? You would be expected to follow all the school rules, and conduct yourself (both at school and out of it) in a well-behaved manner. Do you wear uniforms? Yes, all public school in Japan have school uniforms. What time does class start/end? Classes generally start just after 8am and end around 3:30pm. After that, students normally attend club activities or extra lessons until 5/6pm. Do they have japanese and english classes? Yes, all junior high school students study both Japanese and English. Some high schools students may not study English depending on their subject choice. What classes can you take?
