Good idea to study new language and abroad?

  • I plan to learn either korean and/or japanese in college next year. i think it could help my future because i want to get into the technology buisnesses like cell phones or maybe gaming. so my question is it a good idea to do this? it seems interesting. I speak english and vietnamese.

    yes another language is always a good idea. but remember the classes will be hard. Knowing vietnamese might help but i dont know how similar it is with chinese/korean/japanese. for instance english is similar to spanish and german and french so knowing any will help you learn the others. but keep in mind your dream through the struggles and remember it is worth the hard work or you will never get through.

It is if you like learning new languages and you find the prospect of going abroad enjoyable. I'm going to college soon and I definately will study abroad, since my scholarship pays for it and I like studying language.

Studying abroad is a great experience. I studied in Spain for 6 months and wish I had spent more time abroad. Also look into China as their economy is booming and they are slowly opening their trading borders to westerners.
