What are the best study tips?

What do you think is the best study tips and ways to get good to great grades?

• I've never gotten all As in my life and to be truthful I think my parent think I'm well hopeless. I'm going into 10th grade in high school and I'd really like to get my act together any tips???

  - Try studying/doing homework early in the morning. Studies show that we are more receptive to learning at this time of day. - See if there are subjects that you are really having trouble with. Ask people to help you with it. Or consider asking for a tutor. - Turn off or at least turn down your music. Definitely no tv while studying. Studies show that even if we think we can listen to music and do other stuff at the same time, we are actually not concentrating on each of the individual stuff as much. - If you want to go for good grades, sacrifice some personal time usually spent on the phone, or with friends. Use the extra time for studying. Maybe just set aside a specific time when you can talk with friends, and tell them to call you only at this time. This way you can limit distractions. - Post your current grades on the wall, so you can be reminded every day of your goal! - ANNOUNCE to your family and friends that you are REALLY working on getting better grades. This way there is no turning back, and you really have to make an effort! - Be confident in yourself. You can do this!
