Foreign exchange programs for high school students?

Are there more flexible exchange programs in Japan for high school students?

  • I want to study abroad in Japan in the spring of 09, but I have specific dates I have open to go. Are there any programs that are more flexible? I would need to leave mid-January and get back in early June.

  • Answer:

There is one that I recommend called KCP International. It is an extensive Japanese language and culture learning class that you can take over the summer. The cool part about it is that you can either live in the dorms or with a Japanese family. I have tried it and loved it!! You can give it a try!!! Hope this helps! Ja-na! (See you later)

I studied abroad with Rotary International, which was actually a year-long prgram, but you can pobably check into if they'll do a semester. Other than being year-long, they were flexible on dates to come and go and let kids go home early if they didn't enjoy it. Now I'm studying with CIEE this year but the people in the US suck and I don't know if they do a high school program.
