Does anyone have information about studying abroad?

Anyone have information or experience studying abroad (in Switzerland, for example)?

• Specifically, I want to study in Switzerland. I have some questions and answers would be appreciated (or links to useful information). 1) Are there any English-speaking Universities or will I need to learn French (I will be living in the French region). 2) Will my University credits (from Canada) transfer to Swiss Universities? 3) Is education in Switzerland affordable compared to Canada? 4) Are there useful websites for guiding students looking to study abroad? Thank you to any who can answer any one (or all) of these questions.

  The state funded universities are going to be cheaper than in Canada, classes will be in the regional language. You will not be accepted without a high level of language proficiency. Personally I think it would be totally ridiculous to attempt uni overseas if your attitude is 'will I need to learn French'. Even if your classes were in English, do you really think you would be ok not speaking the language? How were you planning to shop and socialise? There are some private universities around Switzerland which are very expensive and offer courses in English or American. There is even an 'American university' in Geneva. I am completely mystified by why anyone would go overseas and then attend an American university but then again, I am not terribly impressed by American universities in America so not the right person to understand this. French speaking Switzerland is very small. It will take you about five minutes to google the universities in the region. Check whether any of them work for you.
