I'm 17, and I'm looking to study/work abroad for the summer and I don't know how to go about it?
-
I'm 17 and I'd love to work in Journalism or Advertising, but for the summer holidays I would just like any placement or just somewhere to work/volunteer for a break. I've seen a few websites online but I don't want to go entering my details/deposits etc incase they're not real. Also alot of websites say I have to be 18 or over, but I won't be 18 in summer! Any answers will be appreciated, thanks! :)

Answer:
Hey there...there is actually an Advertising Internship through Leave UR Mark for 1-2 months that you might be interested in. Generally they ask that the interns be 18 and over but as long as you get signed consent from a parent or guardian, then it would be fine. There are also volunteer placements if you want to do 1 month of Advertising and 1 month of volunteering. You can email them about the whole 18 and under thing and they will guide you. Good luck! http://www.leaveurmark.com

being 17 there are not too many opportunities out there available for you. but there are still out there that are able to take you to a third world country to volunteer. for example crossculturalsolutions.org and projectsabroad.co.uk these are all well known, but from my experience i went with http://volunteercapitalcentre.org and i was impressed with the service they had.

Czech Republic is the best economical and affordable destination you can contact [email protected], they can arrange enrollment in the colleges / universities, help in visa procesing, arrange scholarships if possible, travel arrangements, pick up from the airports, hostel or family accommodation etc. etc. Best of Luck
