What is the difference between TOEFL and IELTS exams?

About TOEFL, how many times a month/year they offer exams?

  • If this depends on the location of the test center, then I have searched thru http://www.ets.org to locate the test dates available at Hong Kong. For the meantime, they only have the test exams scheduled for this June 2006 only.. So my question is how many times a month/year usually the TOEFL exams are held? Whats the difference between TOEFL and IELTS? Thanks in advance!

    It's used be a seasonly test but somehow it's switched to a monthly test. Not too sure though! You gotta find out! TOEFL is mostly an English literacy requirement for American and Canadian universities. IELTS on the other hand, is an English score accepted by most British, Australian and New Zealander's universities! Both are focus on testing students' 4 skills of English! Does it help?

not sure but it think once a month

a toefl score is valid for two months. you can give as many toefl exams as you want but the time period between them should be for a month . the dates for toefl cbt and ibt are on the website www.ets.org/toefl you will find all the info u need. anddownload the bulletin for all the info from the website.
