What are some good animation colleges?

What are some good colleges out of the country with Animation Majors?

  • well i am a senior in high school in the state of California and i wanted to leave the county for college so can anyone suggest some good colleges out of the country that are good? Also, what kind of things would i need to apply for to leave the county and fund my education? i only speak english so this will have to play a big role on where i end up. finally, i would like the school to have computer animation courses and be near the coast or a big city (the coast or city are not neccesities though just perfered : )

    Trinity College Dublin, Its also near the coast, It caters for most courses but im not certain if it covers Animation..Regarding what things you need to apply is something Im not able to advise on , sorry.. I suggest you get the information on the web somewhere..

Ohhhh... I dont think there is anywhere as good as the states for animation... but having said that... Australia, Singapore, India and China are all pumping money into the animation industry... but I think Australia is your best bet... English speaking, very nice beaches and coastline.... but I would not recommend England... its animation industry is very poor, there are virtually no good universities in the whole of the UK! and its a very tough, over worked and underpaid industry in my view... hope that's helped... try even asian countries, Japan, Korea has a growing animation industry or even the neighbour up north (canada, :))... hope thats helped! (Remember.. the states has pixar studios, dreamworks, lucas arts academy, all the big productions are there, Im not sure why you would want to leave...)
