What is the best time to take the GRE?

WHEN IS THE IDEAL TIME TO TAKE GRE TEST??

  • I am a third year electronics and communication engg. student. I am interested in doing M.S. in U.S.A. I'd like to know when is the best time to take the GRE test if i am also expecting for scholarships from the universities.?? please reply..

    Fall 2010 ------------- You will need to apply before Jan end or max Feb end. But majority of schools have deadline between Dec 2009 to jan 2010. Taking GRE atleast 1 year before the date you plan to go to school will give you enough time to studu and select universities. GRE Preparation ------------------------ It takes lots of time and effort to score more in GRE. Any score abbe 1100 is good enough to get admission for engineering majors. Scholarship ------------------ To get admission with scholarship, you will need to score 1300+ in GRE.

the best time for giving GRE is probably in between august & october as most universities have a deadline of december to apply. in the meantime u have to complete other formalities such as refrence letters etc.
