Okay so I really would like to do foreign exchange but I dont know where to start. Im looking for one that I can apply/start planning for ahead of time. I would like it to be the year of 2014. I want to do possibly a semester. Anywhere outside of North America would be great! i prefer Italy but if it is not on there thats fine! Thanks!(:

I don't know about WEP, but I suggest you check out www.best-student-exchange.com, because they have hundreds of families online who want ot exchange and you can stay in different countries with various families (like family-hopping) and best of all: the price is peanuts compared to usual agencies, because you arrange the exchange yourself and with that you save thousands of $. So I think it is the best program out there. I went to Europe and it rocked!

There is definitely an Italy program for year, semester, but I'm not sure about summer. There's is even an $2,000 scholarship JUST for Italy that you can apply for. AFS has sooooo many different countries and sooooooo many great opportuinties. You CAN start planning for 2014 now (I am again..), but most of your application you will have to wait to do.Like, your medical and passport information have to be up to date within a Year, I think, but you can start you're preliminary application and raising your funds now though. Also, If you sign up and do an online webinar Q&A session you can get a $25 discount off of your pre-application. If you trust me and pick AFS, you'll love you exchange program and yourself for doing this. If you have more questions, email me at [email protected] and we can do everything together.
